Currently:

Working part-time as a Grantmaking Fellow at BlueDot Impact, mainly on Rapid Grants, a programme that funds AI safety and biosecurity work.
Reading, thinking about, and discussing topics in AI futurism.

Previously:

Researched opportunities for international coordination to prevent AI-enabled biological misuse, as well as broader strategy on what international agreements on AI could look like (at the Safe AI Forum).
Scoped out ways to accelerate AI tools for better decisions and coordination.

Outside of trying to make AI go well…

I enjoy going for walks in nature, searching for the world's weirdest fruits, learning about online subcultures, and spending time with friends and family.

I'm a citizen of Canada, but have mostly lived in London, England, since 2016.

I care a lot about freedom, pluralism, progress, animals, effective altruism, and seeing the world more clearly. And despite the stakes and the stars: levity.
