Hi, I'm Ben!
I'm currently a Visiting Researcher at the Safe AI Forum, researching international agreements on AI, and a FIG Fellow at Forethought thinking about post-AGI futures.
I also recently co-founded a magazine to house stories from AI's strange frontier.
Why do I care about AI? Because I expect that how we handle its development and deployment will massively influence how the future unfolds.
I am especially interested in figuring out how to navigate AI's effects on the most complex parts of our world: institutions, geopolitics, power, morality, and so on.
I consider myself part of the effective altruism and pro-progress communities.
